Santo Crucifixo, football champion of Santo Antão Norte, beat Juventude do Norte, champion of the island of Boa Vista, by 2-0, in a game counting for the second round of group A of the National Championship, which was played, this afternoon, Saturday, at Estádio João Serra, in the City of Ponta do Sol, Municipality of Ribeira Grande, island of Santo Antão.
The two winning goals for Santo Crucifixo were scored, one in the first half by Lito and the other in the second half by Jon D’Bibi.
With this victory, the football champion of Santo Antão Norte now has four points, the same as Mindelense, with whom they drew (0-0) in the first round of the National Football Championship.
In the other game between teams from group B, Mindelense, champion of São Vicente, won, this Saturday afternoon, 29th, by 1-0, the classic against Travadores da Praia, champion of Santiago Sul, also in a game counting for the second round of group A of the National Football Championship, which was played at the Estádio Nacional, in Cidade da Praia.
The Travadores da Praia team, champion of Santiago Sul, is the only one in group B as in the other groups of the National Football Championship that has not yet scored in the two rounds played to date.
Remember that group A is made up of the regional champion teams of São Vicente (Mindelense), Santo Antão Norte (Santo Crucifixo), Boa Vista (Juventude do Norte) and Santiago Sul (Clube Desportivo Travadores).
