Africa-Press – Cape verde. Google will soon be rolling out a feature that allows users to delete the last 15 minutes of their search history, this is as reported by the Verge. The news have not yet been announced officially but the news comes as Former XDA Developers Editor-in-chief Mishaal Rahman claimed that the information was tipped to him.
“We’re currently rolling this feature out on the Google app for Android and expect it to be available to everyone using the app in the next few weeks,” Google spokesperson Ned Adriance said in a statement to The Verge.
“We’re continuing to explore ways to bring this helpful feature to other surfaces.”
Users will get to tap their profile picture and search for the delete last 15 minute option in addition to the last hour, 24 hrs. 7 days, 4 weeks and all time option. The feature was expected to appear in Google iOS in July, 2021 but it did not come to effect.
It’s unclear if Google plans to bring the feature to desktop — in its May announcement post, the company didn’t specify which platforms it would be available on, and in July, Google only said that the feature was coming to the iOS and Android apps. Google however refused to comment further.
