Africa-Press – Cape verde. Nilson Semedo is 14 years old and signed a training contract with Benfica, in Portugal. The left winger/winger, son of Cape Verdean parents, was born in Portugal in 2008, and began his sporting career at 4 ao Cubo – Associação Desportiva de Olhão, where he stayed for two seasons. In his still short career, he spent four seasons at CTF in Faro.

At Benfica, in 2022/23, in the U-15s, Nilson Semedo has participated in six matches so far and scored one goal. For the Reds’ under-14 starters, the winger totals two goals, also having an accurate shot.

In 2021/22, at the same level, he ended the season with six goals in 28 matches played.

10 years from now in the main team

Nilson expects to be playing in the main team of Luz in ten years. “When I think of Benfica, the first word that comes to mind is mystic. Signing for Benfica means that they are enjoying my work and I will continue to work”, reacted the young man to his signing with BTV.

This young man says that his favorite player on the A team is Rafa because he is “very fast” and his favorite shirt is number 11 because it is his position.
