Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Northern Superintendent of the Church of the Nazarene, Leniza Soares, presided on Sunday the ceremony to lay the first stone for the construction of the temple in Ponta do Sol.
It is a dream of more than 80 years, assumed by all the Pastors who have passed through the Ponta do Sol Church since its officialization in 2002, and whose materialization officially started today.
The Reverend Leniza Soares explained to Inforpress that the longevity of the “dream” comes from the time when the Pastors at Ribeira Grande Church did work in Ponta do Sol, although without a locally organized Church.
With the officialization of the Ponta do Sol Church, in 2002, first with pastor Ramiro Monteiro and then with Pastor Eliseu who was the one who drew the first project, which, over the years, was being adapted until reaching the current project, already in execution.
