Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Ministry of Culture and Creative Industries detain about 505 million escudos from the total State Budget for 2023, which should be divided between expenses and investments, but still “insufficient”.
The information was provided to Inforpress by the Minister of Culture and Creative Industries, Abraão Vicente, following the ‘online’ parliamentary hearing for the presentation and discussion of the State Budget for 2023 (OE’2023).
According to the official, the amount reserved for the sector is around 505 thousand escudos (505,827,789 escudos), which represent 25 % more than 2022, to be used both in investment and in operation.
In the budget, Abraão Vicente highlighted the allocation of over nine million escudos to the National Center for Crafts and Design (CNAD) following the implementation of the institution’s new project, which will imply the creation of a few more jobs and more maintenance expenses.
