Africa-Press – Cape verde. Movement for Democracy (MpD-power) deputy Luís Carlos Silva today criticised the opposition’s stance and stressed the importance of considering current data and the context of the crisis when analysing the country’s situation.
The deputy thus reacted to a statement by the deputy of the African Party for the Independence of Cape Verde – PAICV (opposition) Janira Hopffer Almada who said that cyclical crises and structural difficulties have always been present, not being an exclusive phenomenon of the current administration, still condemning “victimization attitude” adopted by the Government.
“The problem of your data is that you want to pass on to the country data that result from the context of the crisis. You bring here data of the covid context, data of 2021. Today’s data is quite different,” he said.
Luís Carlos Silva also took the opportunity to criticize deputy Janira Hopffer Almada, accusing her of returning to parliament after a long period of absence with the same speech and denialism.
