Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Judicial Police (PJ) arrested four suspects, including a minor, on suspicion of high-risk drug trafficking, in the Várzea Igreja area, in the municipality of São Domingos, on the island of Santiago.
According to a statement from the PJ, the arrest took place through the Central Section for Investigation of Drug Trafficking and Organized Crime of the PJ (ASCITECO), in an operation carried out on the afternoon of this Saturday, February 1st.
The four suspects, three men and one woman, were arrested in flagrante delicto, as part of the PC operation, which resulted from the execution of a search and seizure warrant at home, issued by the Criminal Division of the Court of Justice of the District of São Domingos.
The operation resulted in the seizure of a certain quantity of individual doses of hashish and cocaine, wrapped in plastic fragments, in addition to monetary values in reais. A precision scale and plastic sachets containing cocaine residue were also seized in the same operation.
The detainees, aged between 17 and 42, were brought before the competent judicial authorities for their first judicial interrogation on Monday, February 3, and were ordered to report to the authorities weekly as a coercive measure. police officers, with the suspects having to await the subsequent proceedings of the case in freedom and under this measure.
