Africa-Press – Cape verde. The communities of emigrants from the municipality of Porto Novo, in Santo Antão, are getting involved in the mobilisation of support and partnerships with a view to building the main church of this municipality.
This is the case of the Nós Sintanton (Our Santo Antao) Association, based in Rome, Italy, which, according to one of its representatives, Cândida Estevão, will mobilise support among its associates and the entire diaspora to build the church.
This association, which has over 300 members, is one of several “goodwill ambassadors” invested on Saturday by the bishop of Mindelo Diocese, D. Ildo Fortes, to “mobilise support” for the construction of Porto Novo’s mother church.
Also, associations of emigrants in France are mobilizing with a view to building the church, as Inforpress found.
