Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Terra d’Soded project, through an initiative of homage in life, paid homage, this week, to the figure of the town of Martiene, Efigénia Pereira, for the contribution he has made to the development of the community.
Efigénia Pereira is 70 years old, mother of nine children and godmother of many people. She is known for making her contribution in several areas to the development of the town of Martiene, Porto Novo.
Carlos Lopes, mentor of the initiative, explains that the tributes in life are the most gratifying way of showing respect for history and valuing the contribution that these people make to the society of Santo António.
The project “Homenagem em Vida” intends to highlight and immortalize, through mural painting, faces, traits and stories of figures considered strong and resilient.
There are already 10 tributes completed and this time the highlight was for Efigénia Pereira .
