Africa-Press – Cape verde. The organizers of the agricultural products fair in Lagoa do Planalto Leste, Porto Novo, Santo Antão, gave a positive assessment today of the event, which took place on Saturday and Sunday, with the participation of 12 exhibitors.
The initiative came from the group “Jovens Unidos por um Planalto Leste sem Desemprego” (Youth United for an Eastern Plateau without Unemployment), which expressed its satisfaction that the agricultural products fair was marked by “strong public participation,” guaranteeing that this fair “is here to stay.”
The vendors, according to Inforpress, also gave “a positive assessment” of the event, during which they were able to promote and sell their products.
The first edition of the Lagoa do Planalto Leste agricultural products fair was held in partnership with the Porto Novo City Hall.
The mayor, Elisa Pinheiro, who was present at the event, highlighted the support of her team in organizing agricultural fairs in various locations throughout the municipality of Porto Novo, praising “the strong participation of the population” in these initiatives.
These events, the mayor explained, aim to promote local products, strengthen the family economy, and generate income in rural communities.
The fair in Lagoa do Planalto Leste, in addition to agricultural and livestock products, also featured the exhibition and sale of manufactured goods, such as sweets, liqueurs, and others.
