Africa-Press – Cape verde. The planning project for the Ribeira das Patas watershed, in the municipality of Porto Novo, in Santo Antão, will be “a reality”, with the start of the project scheduled for early 2023.
The planning of the Ribeira das Patas watershed was the subject of a meeting, Tuesday, between the Organization of the United Nations for Food and Agriculture (FAO) team, which is in Santo Antão, and the City Hall of Porto Novo, which said they believes that the project will be “a reality”.
“The mission to the municipality of Porto Novo aims to share and collect subsidies for the conceptual structure of the project, its intervention strategy and expected results, at the local level,” the City Hall said in a statement.
Also in Santo Antão, the Garça watershed, in Ribeira Grande, will be managed as part of a package, which also includes Ribeira Seca in Santiago, estimated at 2.18 million dollars.
