Africa-Press – Cape verde. The road transport company on the Setúbal Peninsula Alsa Todi, in Portugal, received a visit from the General Inspector of Labor, Anildo Fortes, at a time when it is closing the hiring of 18 more professionals from Cabo Verde.

According to information provided to Inforpress by the company, Anildo Fortes was at the headquarters of Alsa Todi, in Setúbal, to contact directly with Cape Verdean workers who were hired to perform functions in considered one of the main Portuguese transport companies.

Alsa Todi, which in the last quarter of 2022 hired more than 50 drivers in Cabo Verde, mainly from the islands of São Vicente and Santo Antão, according to the company, “has an ongoing process that will allow the hiring of another 18 employees”, as well as opening new hires for the operation that will start in the Porto Grande area.

During the visit, the inspector-general of Labour of Cabo Verde, Anildo Fortes, was accompanied, among others, by an official from the Portuguese Working Conditions Authority (ACT), from the Setúbal Delegation.
