Africa-Press – Cape verde. The General Directorate for Support to the Electoral Process (DGAPE), holds, in Praia, on Monday, July 3, the International Forum on the Electoral System in Cape Verde: “New Challenges”. The event will bring together national and foreign experts, political actors and civil society.
“Our commitment is to develop approaches that exceed expectations, strengthen democracy, ensuring clarity and consistency in the formulation and implementation of electoral policies”, reads in a note.
Holding the forum represents, according to the organization, a “unique opportunity” to promote the exchange of ideas, experiences and best practices, driving significant improvements in Cape Verde’s electoral processes.
Target Audience
According to the program, the event will run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and all voters, citizens and interested parties are invited to actively follow the organization of this Forum, in order to enrich experiences and knowledge in matters of the electoral process.
During the event, different panels will be discussed, such as the revision of the Electoral Code and the National System of Automatic Identification and Census.
