The National Institute of Public Health (INSP), holds this Friday, April 1, the workshop “For a Welfare Society: Health, Environments and Cities” to sensitize Cape Verdean society in the implementation of normative measures and promotional activities in order to protect the health and well-being of people and the planet.
The event scheduled for 9 am in the INSP meeting room, Praia, takes place within the scope of the declaration of the year 2022 as the “Year of Health Security” in Cabo Verde and in celebration of World Health Day, marked on April 7 , according to a press release.
“Socio-economic well-being, Today’s challenges” is one of the topics to be addressed in this workshop by Avelino Bonifácio, as well as “Water, sanitation and our cities presented”, presented by Cláudio Santos.
The main objective of this event, one of many that the INSP has held as the coordinating entity of the Multisectoral Committee for the “One Health” approach, is to sensitize Cape Verdean society in the implementation of normative and promotional measures in order to protect health. and well-being of people and the planet.
It should be remembered that the motto chosen this year to mark World Health Day is “Our Planet, Our Health”, taking into account that the social, economic and health consequences of people around the world, caused by covid-19, challenge everyone , especially the authorities, to commit to integrated responses to public health problems.
