Africa-Press – Cape verde. The President of the Republic, José Maria Neves, announced this Wednesday, in the City of Praia, the intention to hold the “Creole Summit” in 2023. The idea is to bring all Creole nations to Cape Verde, to promote cultures, the tolerance, friendship and peace in the world.
The Head of the Cape Verdean Nation made these statements within the scope of the meeting with cultural agents, in Parque 5 de Julho, where he also pointed out the importance of “insisting” on the internationalization of Cape Verdean music, to project Cape Verde in the world and internationalize your economy.
“I also intend to be Cape Verde’s first cultural ambassador in the world, to take Cape Verdean artists and culture to the world and bring the world to Cape Verde. I plan to hold, for example, in 2023 a creole summit, to bring all creole nations, creole regions to Cape Verde”, explained José Maria Neves.

The Head of State believes that, with this event, cultural activities around “creoleness” can be promoted, as well as promoting the idea of tolerance, friendship, dialogue and peace in the world.
Therefore, its purpose is, on state visits, as PR, to take people linked to culture, namely musicians, writers, to help in this promotion of Cape Verdean culture.
“(…) Whenever I go out, I take books, CDs, paintings by Cape Verdean artists, I take handicrafts, not only to promote these cultural activities, but also to promote artists and create spaces for Cape Verdean artists” , he emphasized.
