
Africa-Press – Cape verde. The leader of the MpD, Ulisses Correia e Silva, the president of UCID, João Luís, and the regional leader of the PAICV, Adilson Jesus, will supervise the execution of the memorandum of understanding between the local authorities in of São Vicente.

According to the councilor, this is one of the decisions that came out of the city council meeting that took place last Thursday and Friday, with the aim of “resolving the stoppage” in the Municipality of São Vicente and “which has dragged on since the session of 02 January, this year, held only with the mayors of the Movement for Democracy (MpD) and without the presence of councilors from UCID and the African Party for the Independence of Cape Verde (PAICV)”.
“The session was called on Thursday and the president, Augusto Neves, opened it. We discussed the return to normality of the City council and revisited the memorandum of understanding that already existed, we revisited the delegation of powers in the departments and the way to enforce the memorandum”, advanced the same source for those who already have “white smoke” for the resolution of the stalemate in the municipality.
