The Minister of Tourism and Transport, Carlos Santos, will travel, from Monday the 5th to the 8th, to the island of São Nicolau, for a three-day visit, within the framework of the launch strategy of the Village Program Rural Tourism, with the signing of the Program-Contract with the municipalities of Ribeira Brava and Tarrafal, as one of the main points on the agenda.
In addition to meetings with local mayors, and the respective signing of program contracts with the Tourism Fund, the Minister will visit infrastructures financed by the Tourism Fund, small hotel units and travel agencies, on which he will place signs of Rural Tourist Villages
On Tuesday, the 6th, Carlos Santos participates, representing the Government, in the solemn session commemorating the festivities of the municipality of Ribeira Brava and has scheduled meetings with local businessmen, including associations and tourist guides, taxi drivers and rentiers.
On the third and last day of the visit, Wednesday, December 7th, Carlos Santos will visit Preguiça and Monte Gordo, where the Interpretative Center of Monte Gordo will be inaugurated.
Visits are also planned to small hotels and travel agencies in the municipality of Tarrafal, where the Rural Tourist Villages Signs will also be placed and the program contract signed.
