Africa-Press – Cape verde. The women’s teams from ABC and Girassol will compete today, at 7 pm, at the Vavá Duarte pavilion, in the city of Praia, in the final of the Santiago Sul regional handball championship.
The game will put face to face the experienced ABC team, nine times champion of Santiago Sul, and Girassol, a young formation, that seeks its first regional title.
The winning team will represent Santiago Sul in the national championship of the modality, to be held from June 12th to 16th in the city of Praia and will be part of group A, together with the champions of São Vicente and Santiago Norte.
Division of groups in the national
Group A: São Vicente, Santiago South, Santiago North, Santo Antão
Group B: Atlético do Mindelo (champion), Fogo, São Nicolau and Sal.
The top two from each group advance to the semifinals.
