Africa-Press – Cape verde. Santo Antão has been highlighted by several bloggers and websites linked to tourism worldwide, a fact that, according to tour operators in Santo Antão, has contributed to increasing demand for the “island of the mountains”.
This is the case of the English travel website Hand Luggage Only, according to which exploring this island, especially through “trekking” (hiking trails) is “one of the best things to do in Cape Verde”, placing Santo Antão among “the best places” to visit in the country.
Some operators, approached by Inforpress, highlighted the fact that, in this high season of tourism, Santo Antão receives « practically every day » groups of tourists, mainly due to the «marketing » that bloggers have been doing in this region.
Alma do Viajante, Viajar entre Viagens and Caminhos me levem are some of the world blogs that have highlighted Santo Antão, dubbing it a « fantastic » island, which has trekking as its main tourist product.
