Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Mindelo Cultural Centre receives this Wednesday, June 21, the president of the association Feon’ny Fanantenana, Denis Fenart, to talk about his experience and the association’s work for the benefit of children in Madagascar.
According to a note from the Mindelo Cultural Centre, Feon’ny fanantenana means ‘The voice of Hope’ and is a benevolent structure, created in May 2002, which works on human scale projects.
“Feon’ny strives, not to act there directly, but to support Malagasy private and public educational structures that are already established. Feon’ny finances part of the school supplies and teaching materials of the ‘Saint-Pierre et Saint Paul’ public school in Andasibé. Six schools in the Village Stellite, representing 1,200 children, benefit from this aid,” says the CCM note
According to the same document, the association provides funding for school canteens to combat malnutrition, supports discovery trips (company visits and cultural outings) and develops school activities.
