Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Katem Parada group is providing moments of fun to children from various areas of São Vicente, through games with inflatable toys for a more didactic occupation of leisure time.
As one of the leaders, Paulo Almeida, told Inforpress, the idea arose after the creation of the Katem Parada movement, which aims primarily to encourage people to exercise, then help people in need and finally give children new forms of fun.
Thus, the group has already taken the inflatables toys to areas such as Fonte Inês, Madeiralzinho and, today, was in the Multipurpose Center of Chã de Alecrim, but, the intention, according to the same source, is to reach all areas in São Vicente.
“It is a way for every Sunday afternoon the parents have a place to take their children to play, because if we see well, São Vicente has nothing for children to entertain themselves,” explained Paulo Almeida, adding that each child pays a “symbolic amount” of one hundred escudos, which is directed to the costs of the materials transport and maintenance.
