Africa-Press – Cape verde. The call of goalkeeper Tiago Gomes (Saint-Gilloise, Belgium) for the double engagement of the Cabo Verde national team, which plays against Morocco (private), followed by the qualifying match for the CAN against Burkina Faso, constitutes the main novelty of the 28 squad.

Tiago Gomes, goalkeeper of Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, from Belgium and who had already represented Cabo Verde in the under-20 team, makes his debut in the main squad, with Ken, goalkeeper of CS Mindelense appearing as the only player resident among the 28 summoned.

Already six days later, that is, on the 18th, the “Tubarões Azuis”, the name by which the Cabo Verdean team is known, will host their counterpart in Burkina Faso, a match referring to the fifth and penultimate round of Group B qualifying for the African Cup of Nations, CAN’, scheduled for 15:00 at the National Stadium in Achada São Filipe.
