Speakers defend that data from international reports are seen with passion and in a partisan way

Africa-Press – Cape verde. Data from international reports on Cape Verde are viewed with “passion” and in a partisan manner, due to the bipolarization of the Cape Verdean political system.

This position was defended today, at Praia, by journalist Paulo Lima and economist João Baptista, moments before participating in the cycle of gatherings called “Conversas no Plateau”, at Sala Beijing, under the motto “What do we talk about when we talk about International Reports and State Performance Indexes?”.

This initiative by the Presidency of the Republic aims to expand the spaces for reflection promoted by the Head of State on burning issues for the country’s development, aiming, once again, to contribute to the strengthening of national public opinion, the habit of critical dialogue and fruitful and the creation of broad understandings about the common future.

For Paulo Lima, it is necessary to change the way of analyzing numbers in Cape Verde, leaving passions aside and seeing how these international indices reflect the reality of the country.
