TACV Cancels Flights between Praia and São Filipe and Uses Boat to Transport Passengers

Africa-Press – Cape verde. TACV reported today that flights scheduled for this Wednesday, 7th, between the city of Praia and São Filipe, were cancelled due to operational restrictions.

According to the airline’s statement, as a way of reducing the disruption caused by the suspension of air connections, the company will ensure the transportation of passengers by means of a CV Interilhas boat, allowing the connection between São Filipe and Praia by sea.

TACV asks all passengers with a scheduled trip on the São Filipe – Praia route to follow communications by email and telephone, channels through which updated information will be transmitted, in particular regarding the timetable of the sea trip.

It is worth mentioning that between April 22 and May 5, TACV carried out a total of 76 flights, transporting 3,920 passengers, as part of the Nhô São Filipe 2025 Festival, Fogo Island.

In 14 days of operation, the company achieved an average of five daily flights, which represents around 38 flights per week.

Compared to the same period in 2024, there was a growth of around 31% in the number of flights and 32% in the number of passengers transported.
