Africa-Press – Cape verde. Kindergarten teachers in the municipality of Tarrafal de Santiago will, as of this month, receive a salary increase of around 34.1%, corresponding to 5,186 escudos. They thus go from 15,330 to 20,516 monthly escudos.
The announcement was made after a meeting, this Wednesday, 15th, between the mayor of Tarrafal, José dos Reis, with kindergarten teachers from 20 kindergartens under the authority of the municipality.
Professionals, in a total of 47, thus increased from 15,330 escudos to 20,516 escudos, as of the end of this month.
It is, according to the same source, a commitment assumed, through the department of Education, Health and Social Cohesion, which aims to improve the conditions of service provided by these monitors who have been claiming this right for a long time.
