Africa-Press – Cape verde. The National Institute of Statistics starts, this Monday, the training of the Field Agents of the IV Survey on Family Expenses and Income (IV IDRF). The survey will be carried out between December 2022 and December 2023, across the country.

The training action that starts today and runs until the 13th of December, in Praia, aims to train agents from all municipalities in the country for the IN Inquérito das Expenses e Incomes of Families, which should start next December .

INE recalls that it started preparatory activities in 2021, having already carried out the Pilot Survey, before the main collection that now follows.

Estimate poverty rate

The objective of the survey is “to know the level and structure of consumption expenditure and income of Cape Verdean families and to estimate the poverty rate in the country”.

Field agents will be trained in the field of concepts, definitions, methodology and procedures associated with this type of statistical operation and in good data collection practices in the field, with a view to producing quality data, guarantees the institution.

The opening of the training takes place from 10 am, in the Auditorium of the Jean Piaget University of Cape Verde.
