Africa-Press – Cape verde. The passage of a tropical wave south of the archipelago will cause unstable weather in the coming days, with periods of rain of varying intensity and occasional thunderstorms, especially in the Leeward Islands. The phenomenon is expected to gradually spread to the Western Windward Islands, accompanied by increased winds, according to the National Institute of Meteorology and Geophysics (INMG).
For Thursday, September 12th, there is a chance of drizzle in the Windward Islands and moderate rain with thunderstorms in the Leeward Islands.
On the 13th and 14th, instability is expected to increase due to the influence of the tropical wave, while the sea conditions will slightly worsen, with waves from the North/Northeast between 1.5 and 3 meters.
INMG also forecasts an increase in winds, with gusts between 29 and 48 km/h.
Sea conditions are expected to worsen slightly north of the archipelago and in the inter-island areas, with waves from the north and northeast between 1.5 and 3 meters high.
The INMG recommends caution, especially for maritime activities and travel in the most affected areas.
