Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Universidade Técnica do Atlântico (UTA) celebrates the Day of Women and Girls in Science with a cycle of lectures in São Vicente and Santo Antão, called “ConversasComScientia”.
In São Vicente, the activities will take place today, Friday, the 10th, at Escola EBI da Ribeira Bote and Escola Secundária Jorge Barbosa and at 6 pm at the Cultural Center of Mindelo, open to the public.

In Santo Antão, the activities take place tomorrow, Saturday, at the António Silva Pinto Secondary School, in Ribeira das Patas.
With distinguished guests from the area of Social Sciences, Engineering and Mathematics, “ConversasComScientia” will be a moment of knowledge sharing and interaction with society, promoting the culture of knowledge and demystifying the different dimensions of science.
The activities are sponsored by Kiel Marine Science at the University of Kiel, Germany, Ocean Science Center Mindelo / Geomar Helmholtz-Zentrum für Ozeanforschung Kiel, EMAR – Escola do Mar.
Celebrated on February 11, the Day of Women and Girls in Science is an opportunity to fully and equally promote access to science and the participation of women and girls in this area.
