Africa-Press – Cape verde. The senior national women’s national football team play against the counterpart of Luxembourg this Sunday, the 19th, in a friendly match, to be held in that European country, and includes in the list of called five footballers who play in Europe.
According to the Cabo Verdean Football Federation (FCF), the match, at the invitation of the Luxembourg counterpart will be held at 7:45PM at the Municipal Stadium of Bettembourg.
The same source clarified that the invitation to hold this friendly comes since last year and it did not materialize due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
For this match, the national coach, Silvéria Nédio, called 21 athletes, five of them playing in Europe, which demonstrates, according to the same source, the FCF “is attentive” to athletes who have excelled in women’s football across borders.
