Africa-Press – Côte d’Ivoire. The launch of heavy reprofiling work on roads in the Nassian department takes place on Friday October 20, 2023 on the main road of the city, opposite the great mosque.
On behalf of the municipality, the second deputy mayor, Ouattara Drissa, welcomed this initiative from the government of Côte d’Ivoire. For him, it is a relief to see the work start.
Around 42 kilometers of road will be reprofiled between Nassian and Sominassé, according to MP Ouattara Amara. The other localities will follow and ultimately, all the roads in the department will be reprofiled.
“This is an irreversible process and we will be developed. The roads will be made. The State of Côte d’Ivoire has not forgotten you,” added sub-prefect Adepo Gnando Olivier, to the cheers of the people.
The work is planned to last seven months. They are managed by the Road Management Agency (AGEROUTE) and financed by the Road Maintenance Fund (FER).
