Africa-Press – Eritrea. A concert for children, held in connection with the 34th Independence Day anniversary, took place yesterday at Bahti Meskerem Square under the theme “Our Cohesion – Our Armour.” The event was organized in collaboration with the National Holidays Coordinating Committee, the Commission of Culture and Sports, and the Ministry of Education’s Central Region branch.
The program featured cultural and artistic performances in various Eritrean languages by the Fiorina and Hallow Children’s Cultural Troupes, along with Artist Yonas Mihreteab (Mainas).
Parents and program coordinators emphasized the importance of such events in instilling noble societal values and nationalism among children.
The event was attended by over 22,000 children from 37 elementary schools in Asmara.
