Africa-Press – Eritrea. A six-month theoretical and practical training program in music was provided to 33 youth in the Gash Barka Region.
Mr. Idris Saleh, Director General of Culture and Sports in the region, noted that activities conducted with scientific approaches supported by research and training are highly effective. He stressed that the program will significantly contribute to music research, which is an integral part of cultural heritage.
Representatives of the trainees highlighted that the training was part of broader efforts to develop the overall capacity of youth and called for the program’s continuation.
Ambassador Mahmud Ali Hirui, Governor of the Region, emphasized the importance of developing the musical talents of youth and encouraged them to cultivate their skills alongside their regular education. He also expressed the readiness of the regional administration to play its role in the effort.
