Africa-Press – Eritrea. President Isaias Afwerki laid a wreath at the Twalet Martyrs Cemetery in Massawa this morning in connection with the 36th anniversary of Operation Fenkil.
On the occasion, Ministers, senior Government and PFDJ officials, regional administrators, Army commanders, invited guests, and a number of nationals from inside the country and abroad were present.
The 36th Operation Fenkil commemoration is being conducted from 13 to 15 February under the theme “Heroic Fenkil Operation: Heritage for Generations,” featuring various programs showcasing the anniversary.
In the same vein, a general knowledge competition between elementary school students and civil servants, as well as short story and poetry programs and other activities, were conducted in connection with Operation Fenkil.
