Africa-Press – Eswatini. MTN Eswatini has strengthened its ties with the Premier League of Eswatini with a new knockout sponsorship.
The inaugural MTN Momo Cup will be officially launched today at Mahlalekhukhwini House from 9am where details of the new tournament will be unpacked.
This is according to a correspondence released by the Premier League of Eswatini yesterday.
The tournament is set to feature both Premier League and National First Division teams.
Premier League of Eswatini Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kenneth Makhanya could not be drawn for comment for further clarity on the new tournament after his cellphone rang unanswered.
The new knockout tournament will as good news for both clubs and fans as the Premier League of Eswatini only staged the MTN Premier League/MTN National First Division for the past two seasons.
Other knockouts tourneys such as Ingwenyama Cup, the EswatiniBank cup, and the EPTC Charity Cup have been on ice since the COVID-19 outbreak.
The EPTC recently announced that it had suspended its corporate social responsibility programmes, including the Charity Cup.
