Africa-Press – Eswatini. Young Zesh’s new music video titled‘Kakhoza’ has garnered 20 000 views just four days after it was released on YouTube.
The song featuring Lyrikal Busta was recorded under the Upscale Live. The upcoming star shared that he was excited about the reactions he has been receiving from fans.
Young Zesh debuted his album in July. His music has made international presence, even getting interviews with South African radio stations such as Ligwalagwala FM. Young Zesh’s album has also topped charts such as Apple Music and Hip hop Charts in Eswatini.
“We are very excited, we did 10 000 views in only a day and we are already heading for 20 000 in less than a week. It shows that Emaswati are now willing to support and empower local artists which means we are heading to a new era,” said Young Zesh.
Appealed
He then thanked everyone who watched the video and appealed to those who had still not seen it to view ‘Kakhoza’ as it is a 100 per cent local storyline, promising that viewers would love it. “I would like to thank everyone who helped make this project see the light of day.We promise to keep flying the Eswatini flag sky high,” he said.
The music video reveals a storyline of a young man who was looking to meet up with his girlfriend at KaKhoza, in Manzini. It explores some of the country’s best sites and also gives visuals of a real-life dating situation for young couples. The video concept has caught the eyes of followers who have given credit to the director and much recognition to the artists.
The video has received over 500 comments. One of the comments from Co-founder of Antidote Music and Antidote Culture Foundation Mmeli Hlanze. “Song of the year without a doubt. And the visuals are just as dope. Congratulations gents,” said Hlanze.
“Talent in the wrong country. What an entire production,” said Afro-Soul A2Z’s Melusi Mndzebele.
Featured on the song, Eswatini’s hip-hop super star Lyrikal Busta said having so many people view the video within days of its release honestly felt like a dream.
“We are very ecstatic about this milestone. In my 10 years of giving back to the industry I have never experienced such. I would like to give a special shout out to Direktor Kwenu, Young Zesh and Upscale Live and most importantly the fans for streaming our work,” he said.
Lyrikal Busta further promised to work tirelessly to take Siswati music to the world.
