Africa-Press – Eswatini. Percy Simelane,the King’s Spokesperson says,some Executives use the King’s name to settle administrative issues with subordinates.
Responding to a questionnaire on Tuesday regarding the issue of Nomsa Maziya, the soldier who was allegedly dismissed unlawfully in the army,by the then Army Commander Fonono Dube who alleged that he was acting on King’s instructions,Simelane said this has become a norm for some Executives in the country.
“We wouldn’t know what exactly happened when she was fired as alleged because our office was established less than two years ago,decades after this dismissal from the army occurred. It apparently could not have captured that incident because it was nowhere then.It is our experience though that at times executives use the name of the King to settle administrative issues they have with their subordinates,” said the King’s Spokesperson.
