Africa-Press – Eswatini. Nkamanzi MP candidate Bhekithemba Magagula, says he knew he would win the primary elections against outgoing MP Lutfo Dlamini.
He had been asked to react to allegations made by Dlamini on the fairness, or lack thereof, of the primary elections. He said he liked the siSwati adage which goes; ‘Umlomo lishoba lekutiphungela (use words to defend yourself)’. Magagula said many people were present during the EBC civic and voter education exercise and could attest to what actually transpired.
He said when the EBC conducted the civic and voter education exercise at Nkamanzi Umphakatsi, though the chief was not present, Indvuna Philemon Munyambo, the inner council and residents, were all present.
“They all know what transpired during the exercise. Even police officers present can testify. If something contrary to the law happened, why didn’t they arrest the offenders?” he asked rhetorically. He said according to his knowledge, the civic and voter education exercise was without incident and nobody was ever threatened. “If someone was threatened, it never reached my attention,” he added. Magagula said he knew he would be elected because the people knew his integrity and how much he contributed to the community over the years.
