Africa-Press – Eswatini. Mbabane Highlanders head coach Solomon ‘ Solly’ Luvhengo has revealed that they could possibly be without the services of captain Phila Mkhonto and midfielder Lindani ‘Rio’ Matsenjwa.
The capital city giants will play the curtain raiser of the Trade Fair Cup today against Rangers FC at 2pm and the coach said two of the key players may not be available.
“Philani has an ankle injury and is a doubt, with ‘Rio’ wearing a cast after he fractured his arm. The pair may not be part of the squad tomorrow, but we will see how it goes,” he said.

Despite this, the coach said they have some exciting new players who are willing to make a good early impression and represent the brand with honour.
“It is always nice to have all your players when you play games, especially official games on the league’s calendar so that you prepare properly for the season.
“It is a pity that this important fixture is scheduled when the national team is on camp. We have some new players who are ready for the challenge and we expect them to step up and show fans why we signed them,” added Luvhengo.
He further made a promise to the Chairman of the team Chief Ally Kgomongwe to win some silverware this season to show their appreciation to him and his family for the support he has shown to the team.
“We will fight to the bitter end to lift this trophy regardless of any stumbling blocks,” he said.
Meanwhile, Rangers FC coach Mthunzi Ginindza said they would go all out during their match with Mbabane Highlanders.
Ginindza said they were ready for the match and they have covered all the aspects of the game and he mentioned that they knew Mbabane Highlanders, so they will do everything to get positive results.
