Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Taiwan Embassy has donated two laptops towards the Eswatini Observer to help the newspaper improve its operations.

Coming shortly after the managing editor’s participation in the Taiwan political and economic development conference, the donation is a continuation of the good relations between the embassy and the newspaper.

Managing Editor Mbongeni Mbingo, said they were grateful to the people of Taiwan for the continued good relations with not just the newspaper, but the entire nation.

“We are very grateful for this contribution to the newspaper. It will go a long way in assisting us manage our operations, because obviously we are all going through tough economic times.

“This is very timely for the newspaper and I take this moment to thank the ambassador Jeremy Liang and his team for considering us worthy of this donation,” Mbingo said.

Meanwhile, the embassy’s press secretary, Andrew Chen, expressed their appreciation of the role the newspaper plays in Eswatini by its responsible and balanced reporting that has helped the country get appreciation of the developments around them.

In particular, Chen expressed their gratitude to the newspaper for always making time and dedicating themselves in covering important events the embassy engages in, including events that benefit Emaswati.

“This is a small token of our appreciation to you and your team. Siyabonga kakhulu,” said Chen on behalf of the ambassador.
