Africa-Press – Eswatini. Operations are rumoured to have returned to normalcy at Green Mamba as the suspension of 11 key players has reportedly been lifted ahead of their MTN Premier League match against Mbabane Swallows.

The match will be played at King Sobhuza II Stadium on Saturday.

This comes after the players were reported to have taken an illegal off-day from their employ at His Majesty Correctional Services, immediately after last Saturday’s MTN Premier League match against Young Buffaloes played at KaLanga Stadium. The match ended in a 2-2 all draw.

The affected players are Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa, Njabulo ‘D4D’ Ndlovu and Mthunzi ‘Chippa’ Motsa.

Others are Colani Magagula, Njabulo Magagula, Yenzokuhle Khumalo, Khethokuhle Mkhonto, Mthunzi Mkhontfo, Mancoba Zwane, Linda Nkambule and Mbutfo Dlamini.

Following their shenanigans, the players were ordered to work extra hours at their work stations as part of the punishment. Latest news are that the team’s head-honchos communicated the uplifment of the players’ suspension immediately after the embarrassing 1-2 defeat at the hands of sugarbelt side Illovo last Sunday.

As a result, the players were expected back at their training base at the Correctional Staff College yesterday afternoon.

“The team’s Board of Governors has instructed the players to return to training with immediate effect after serving their punishment,” said the source. Green Mamba Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mandla Sibiya confirmed the developments.

“As we speak, the players are at training preparing for our next match,” he said briefly.

‘Inyoka Eluhlazana’, as the team is fondly known, will face their nemesis Mbabane Swallows in the upcoming MTN Premier League game scheduled for King Sobhuza II Stadium on Saturday.

Both teams have a score to settle against each other after the Correctional Services side harassed the ‘Beautiful Birds’ with a 6-0 bashing during the PLE Trade Fair Cup finals played at Mavuso Sports Centre two weeks ago.

This promises to be an exciting encounter, as Swallows will be seeking revenge to prove a point while Green Mamba will be all out to cement their superiority over the ‘Birds’.
