Africa-Press – Eswatini. Apart from making November his month with shows in Lesotho and Botswana, Dr Shakes will add on to his list of SADC countries in December as he heads over to Zambia for a comedy festival.
The comedian will be one of the acts at the Zed Laugh Festival in Lusaka, which will be hosted at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre.
The show is slated for December 1 and 2 from 7:30pm to 10pm.
The comedian clarified that, although he was booked and busy, he was not on any particular ‘international tour’.
“No, I am not on tour. These shows are comedy festivals,” he stated.
Dr Shakes took to his Facebook social media platform to share the news as he paired the announcement with flags of Eswatini and Zambia.
He additionally shared a compilation of pictures which displayed the various shows he would be performing at in the next two months.
His supporters, as usual, took to the comment section and shared their support and well-wishes.
“Congratulations Nkhosi, all the best,” commented one social media user.
“We are waiting for you here in Zambia,” stated yet another social media user.
The event describes itself as a festival that features Zambian comedians as the host nation and comedians from Lesotho, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Eswatini.
The show will have 20 comedians, one stage, for two nights.
The comedian will also be performing at the Ninth Annual International Heavyweight Comedy Festival (HICOFEST) alongside other heavyweight comedians from Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Nigeria, South African, Zimbabwe and Zambia on November 10.
The show will be in Gaborone, Botswana.
The artist has worn various hats in the comedy industry as he occasionally dabbles with content creation, where he explores the humour in various social issues.
Additionally, he has had the opportunity of becoming a brand ambassador for companies such as Castle Lager.
