Africa-Press – Eswatini. “Take advantage of the platform and cough out everything that is in your throat as the King advised.”
These were the views of the nation that included new politicians, former politicians and ordinary members of the public. In his speech, His Majesty King Mswati III urged the nation to use the Sibaya, also known as the People’s Parliament, to address all the issues that the country had encountered.
The King outlined some of these as the civil unrest and economic development issues. Following the call by the King, emaSwati said they were pleased that finally the authorities had summoned the nation to Sibaya to talk about all the issues that created a rift in the nation within the past two years. Some noted that people were eager to have these issues addressed at national level. Others noted that people felt they were deprived of an opportunity to speak or address their issues, which hindered national progress and reconciliation. They felt that when the King invited the nation to address all the issues, including the unrest, it was a step in the right direction in terms of building a peaceful nation.
