Africa-Press – Eswatini. Population Services International (PSI) Eswatini has partnered with SwaziBoy Entertainment for the House Musiq Festival to be held on Saturday at Manzini Club. The entity has showered the festival with a lump sum of E105 000. This was announced yesterday during a media briefing held at Nandos in Ezulwini.
The announcement was made by PSI Marketing Manager Mzameni ‘Philani’ Mpanza. Mpanza said the partnership was created to make a platform to drive the issue of vaccination among the youth.
He said the lump sum of E105 000 was to make sure the event was a success. He said they saw a need to be part of the event and that they would have stations where they would be informing fun lovers about the vaccine and how it worked.
For this drive, PSI has also partnered with USAID, EPIC, MOH. It was revealed that Charles Webster from the UK had been added to the line-up. SwaziBoy Director Mthunzi Shadow said he was excited for this third edition and they promised safety for their supporters.
Zwane urged fun lovers to come ready to dance the day and night away. He said would also have different sections like the kiddies area, beer garden and food sector where fun lovers will get to pick their favourite food. The event basically carters for everyone, adults, youth and children as they have also made sure that everyone feels comfortable.
Zwane emphasised that people should come early so that they would get to enjoy the event from during the day and be served with house music. He said people should make sure they don’t bring dangerous weapons.
Nomabizo Mthethwa of SoFresh emphasised on the food aspect as she mentioned that she was looking forward to the food stalls. She said this year they would also have clothing stalls for fashion lovers. The festival will allow cooler boxes from 10am to 1pm at E100.
The highly acclaimed line-up artists list features the likes of Black Motion, DJs Mafaka and M’ay, Eswatini’s MacDeep, DJ !Sooks, DJ MBO, Chynamusique , Soul Bee, Crooks, 2.0, DJ Cup and Jazzinsoul. The show aims to celebrate the House music genre alongside locals will be held for the third time this year as its first instalment was in 2018.
Tickets to the show are now available at all Shoprite and Computicket outlets for those in South Africa, at E200 for general and E400 for VIP. It is worth noting that the first show which was held in 2018 was attended by over 500 fun lovers and Deep House fanatics.
Other activities from the festival include awards which are aimed at honouring certain individuals who contribute to the development of House music in the kingdom.
