Ncumbi Maziya, a member of the organising committee, disclosed that a secondary chance has been granted due to the remarkable response received from numerous individuals and entities expressing a desire to contribute.
“This decision was taken following the influx of calls and requests from those who were unable to partake in the initial presentation.
His Majesty King Mswati III has blessed next week Tuesday, as another day where people can come through for another round of gifts presentation. Once the second round of presentations has been completed the committee will compile the full list and make it public, as per the King’s blessings,” said Maziya.
“His Majesty has, therefore, graciously opened another window of opportunity for all those willing to be part of this esteemed tradition,” he added.
The initial gathering, held at Ngabezweni Royal Residence, saw an overwhelming display of solidarity, with both companies and individuals converging to offer their contributions.
This collective spirit resulted in an astounding accumulation of gifts amounting to over E16 million, a testament to the deep-rooted respect and honour bestowed upon the sacred Incwala Ceremony. The forthcoming date, set before the main Incwala, aims to accommodate those eager to partake in this timeless tradition and extend their tokens of appreciation and reverence to Their Majesties.
The additional opportunity reflects the unyielding commitment of the public and corporate sectors towards upholding and cherishing the cultural heritage embedded within the Incwala Ceremony.
