YOUNG AND UP COMING: COSTA KING BACK IN STUDIO

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Afro pop singer Costar King is working on a song titled Emaweni due for release early next month.

He has termed it his biggest release so far.

Featured in the single are Bannie and Charlie SD while the beat is produced by Slate Billato and Nerves AOX.

“This has to be my biggest Afro pop song so far since it is about taking back the hands of time after my last release (Jika), which made waves in March.

Emaweni is taken from the traditional Swati song usually performed during the Lobola ceremony.

“I’ve been loving this song since day one and I decided to take the chorus and fuse it with Afro pop genre so it has the youth melody feel. Not like I’m talking about being in a new relationship since people will be thinking I have found the love of my life again, but the story is short that there’s always the rainbow after the storm,” Costar King said.

The single is the artist’s second project this year after the EP titled ‘After the Storm’.

The producer behind the latest project is M. Seth of Eardrumz Studios.

It was revealed that the artist and his team was looking at releasing the single on January 5. “I’m excited, looking forward to 2024 which I believe will be the biggest year for me”.

He said they were not intending to release new material during the festive season as it was a time for families and friends to get together and indulge in scrumptious meals while reflecting on the year that is coming to an end and the New Year ahead.

“I promise my fans hat 2024 will be a year of good music from Costar King and also remind them that I’m a brand so I have to keep it high always as an artist,” he said.

Mncedy the Poet’s visuals for Bona Bobabili to drop in January

Mncedy the Poet is surging forward with his poetry journey.

During the first week of January, he will be shooting visuals for his latest poem titled Bona Bobabili.

The poem talks about the love shown by his parents to him while growing up, which he often reminisces about and appreciates.

The video will be shot by Amazing Entertainment’s Sibonelo Ntjalintjali, whom Mncedy described as one of the best videographers in Nhlangano.

Mncedisi Kunene, well-known as Mncedy the Poet, is from Nyamane in the Shiselweni region.

The upcoming poet is famous for his poem titled Bafati Bafa Bati released in 2020.

On another note, during the second week of January he will be recording a collaborative track with an upcoming maskandi artist, Mjiks from Mankayane.

This piece is titled Sangekhatsi.

“One would wonder why we came with such a title. We have seen that most people out there are hurt yet we cannot physically point at the scars because they are wounded from the inside.

“Therefore this track outlines the things that destroy our hearts and further proposes a solution. Sangekhatsi means something which is inside; in this case we are talking of an internal emotional damage,” Mncedy the Poet said.

The poet also informed his fans that things were opening up for him and was set to perform in Pongola, SA, in a month or so.

This is his third invite from SA.
