Africa-Press – Eswatini. RANGERS’ Sandile ‘Magwegwe’ Mbingo’s hat-trick was enough to sink Ezulwini United as and claim maximum points at the Prince of Wales yesterday after thrashing them 3 – 0.

The game started at a low momentum with both teams showing signs of knowing each other’s playing style. Rangers had speedy striker Sandile ‘Magwegwe’ Mbingo calling the shorts upfront while Ezulwini United winger Mphucuko ‘Smoothies’ Dlamini made good passes on the left side of the pitch in search of a goal for his side.

Mbingo drew the first blood just 32 minutes into the game after classy dribble taking down two defenders then got the better side of Ezulwini’s goal keeper Siyabonga Magagula.

Tragedy occurred on the 37th minute when Rangers’ Mpilonhle Khumalo and Vusi Mavuso collided after an aerial duel from a corner by Mbingo which led to a forced substitution for the Rangers forward.

What came as a shock to many spectators was when the player was carried out in a stretcher by team doctors and players before being taken to the hospital by a BMW 1 series as the game took place without any paramedics or health officers in site.

Ezulwini kept pushing for their luck as Mphucuko kept Rangers defenders on their toes and even unleashed a powerful shot that was blocked by Rangers Majaha Msibi.

‘Magwegwe’ came to hunt for a double after some inter- passing with Sandile Thwala only to miss by inches in the dying minutes of the first half.

The game went to the breather with Rangers leading 1- 0

‘Magwegwe’ doubled the lead just two minutes into the second with a header from a set piece from Sizo Shabangu.

Ezulwini tried all means getting back to the game but all that went down the drain when Magwegwe completed his hat-trick on the 72nd minute into the game placing it into the net after a good cross from Sandile Thwala.
