Africa-Press – Eswatini. Two people died while seven are fighting for their lives at Mankayane Government Hospital after an accident at Gege over the weekend.
The accident happened at Sicunusa and Gege T-junction, involving a Toyota Quantum and sedan driven by a 33-year-old while the Quantum was driven by a 29-year-old. It was said that the driver of the sedan did not stop at the stop sign, which resulted in the collision.

The Quantum had six passengers on board who were all admitted to hospital after the accident. The driver of the sedan and a passenger in the same vehicle sustained serious injuries and were certified dead upon arrival at the hospital. The seven others are still receiving treatment though one was reportedly critical by the time of going to print. In a different incident, a trip from a vigil ended in tragedy when a Jericho church member fell from a moving car.
The incident happened at Nkwene along the highway in the Shiselweni Region. The now deceased 23-year-old of Mehlwabovu was on board a Nissan hard body along with others when she fell. It was reported that she sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital, where she was certified dead. Deputy Chief Police Information and Communications Officer Assistant Superintendent Nosipho Mnguni confirmed both incidents.
