Schools
“Day one of the event will be Epic Arts Festival, where we will choose three schools that will showcase their talent. We want schools to adopt the arts culture so that children grow up understanding that arts are also a profession,” he said.
Toxik said fans of the event would be taken by surprise, as they would continue to announce more acts for the main day.
He said because the event had not been hosted in the past two years, they were making sure that it came back with a bang.
“We have been working hard to ensure that the event is the best, we have hosted so far. I am also grateful that we have support from different stakeholders such as the Eswatini Council of Arts and Culture, the Eswatini Youth Council and many other individuals,” he said.
He extended his appreciation to ENCAC CEO Stanley Dlamini for his constant support.
“Ever since I started hosting this event, he has always opened his arms and office to us. He is not afraid to tell me if something is going to work or not. He and his team have supported us greatly and we appreciate that,” he said.
Meanwhile, the ENCAC CEO Dlamini said they were happy to support such a cause.
“It is great that Epic Gig is also supporting our young people. It is important for them to know that the arts industry is also a valuable profession that they can follow. We have curriculum in schools that support the arts and it is important for the children to experience such festivals and be part of them,” said Dlamini.
Other speakers included Eswatini National Youth Council CEO Makhosami Dlamini, REPS officer Inspector Gamedze from Malkerns Police Station, who assured patrons that they would do their best to ensure that they had safe fun.
