Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Taiwan Technical Mission has been appreciated for their continuous support and prompt response whenever there was a need.

This was during the launch of the third, phase of the sewing class for women and the donation of two overlocker machines at the Challenge Ministries at Ezulwini.

Nina Liang, The republic of China (Taiwan) Ambassador Jeremy Liang’s wife, Nina, noted that the women were all equipped with great skills and knew how to use the industrial sewing machines. She said she hoped in the next stage, they would have a chance to develop the professional skills of producing clothes.

Liang appreciated the Taiwan Technical Mission for the continuous support and prompt response whenever the need arose.
“As you know Taiwan and Eswatini have a long-term relationship. We also know that women are the cornerstone for every family and every country.

“Our President Tsai Ing-Weng made it clear that Taiwan stood at the forefront of efforts to promote gender equality and women empowerment. We are looking forward to seeing women inspire others to make Eswatini a greater kingdom,” she said.

She also appreciated Tex Ray General Manager Mars Tzeng for the kind gesture. Further, she said the centre had a dream of helping girl children and women to stand on their own and improve their livelihoods. She said with the skills acquired, they might even be able run their own businesses, securing a bright future in the process.

Meanwhile, Challenge Ministries Director Thobile Mnisi appreciated the donation and TTM.
She said the Bible informed leaders about the character traits of God, which is love. She said the Technical Mission showed by their actions that they loved the centre.

“You are indeed a true friend; your actions tell it all. We are now part of the capacity building for microfinance focusing on grassroots women in Eswatini because of Taiwan being our friend,” she said.
