MSWATI’S ORDER: Pro-democracy MP Marwick Khumalo’s home petrol bombed

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Pro-democracy Member of Parliament(MP) Marwick Khumalo’s home was petrol bombed in the early hours on Wednesday allegedly, by State agents.

The petrol bombing comes after reporting that King King Mswati allegedly issued an order to burn properties belonging to those calling for democratic reforms.

The Lobamba Lomdzala Member of Parliament(MP)confirmed the attack adding that the bombers invaded his home at Ezulwini and petrol bombed his house and a car belonging to his driver.

“They petrol bombed my home and a car belonging to my driver”, he said.

Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, the Police Spokesperson had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

The attack on Marwick Khumalo comes after he questioned Government about issues surrounding the political dialogue, he demanded answers as to why MPs, as representatives of the people were being sidelined.

Khumalo is a member of Sive Siyinqaba National Movement, a political organization working collectively with other political parties through the Political Parties Assembly(PPA) to intensify the calls for democratic reforms.
